Chris & Jen's Family Session

October 27, 2013

Chris & Jen's Family Session

As a photographer engagement sessions prior to the bride & grooms wedding day is so important for many reasons. Not all brides and grooms are interested in having an engagement session, but I'll explain why I think it's a good idea.
1. You get to know each other before your big day. This way on your wedding day it's like having a friend photographing you, not a stranger.
2. Your photographer gets to see you behind the lens prior to your wedding day. Why is this important?   For me, I know how to position you as a couple, what works & what doesn't work has already been set during your engagement shoot. Skin tones can be challenging at times, this will be ironed out too.  Your photographer will know how comfortable you are having your picture taken, or at least get you prepared for your big day. This way you will know what to expect.
3. Simply it's just fun! Engagement shoots should be relaxed, enjoyable & give you photos you can cherish forever.
Chris & Jen had a fun engagement session in the Byward Market in September, we had a blast! When they asked me to photograph their family as well, I was thrilled. This gives us the opportunity to all meet prior to Chris & Jen's wedding in May. Meeting his parents, sister, brother in-law and two adorable children was a great! I look forward to seeing all of you again in May :)

Miranda and Rob Are Engaged

Miranda And Rob Are Engaged!

Miranda and Rob will be getting married next Fall in Cambridge.
We spent a lovely hour walking in behind Convent Glen Mall. I wanted to give them a little variety in their engagement shoot. The fire exit with a combination of nature, worked out perfectly. Congrats again to the both of you!
You make one stunning couple :)

Sarah & Mike Are Engaged!

Mike & Sarah are engaged!

We spent a lovely hour walking around the Experimental Farm together. I think we hit every spot, but the farm itself.
Mike is huge Patriots Football fan, so it only seemed natural to incorporate some jerseys shots & a leaf fight! I love Mike's "game face" in one of the pics, too funny.
Congrats again to the both of you! I'm looking forward to your beautiful winter wedding.
Sarah, you will be one stunning bride.
