BRIDAL SHOOT AT AQUATOPIA

This styled shoot held at Aquatopia Water Garden Conservatory, came together so beautifully. When I first started out as a photographer, I remember thinking, I can't wait for the day I can photograph a Styled Shoot. In February I got an email from Erin Heather, from Elska. She mentioned she loved my work & asked if I'd be interested in working together on a bridal shoot. "WOW, of course I would!!!" She started sending me these beautiful & creative mood boards & I couldn't wait to see it all come together. 3 weeks later, I arrived at this GORGEOUS venue in Carp Ontario, Aquatopia & began working with fantastic wedding vendors & 5 stunning models.

My first task of the day, to pick up the cake from ThimblesCakes. I remember being so nervous to drop it & boy was it heavy-lol After driving at a speed of 20K, to make sure the cake arrived in one piece, I finally arrived at Aquatopia & so did the cake.

Honestly, if you're planning a wedding, you need to see this beautiful & unique venue. There's nothing like it in Ottawa. It's stunning & the staff are so accommodating. A must see for sure, I strongly recommend it!!!

Once the cake was placed in a safe spot, the planning began. So many things to think about & thank goodness for such a great & professional team of wedding vendors, to make it all come together. Once the table was set, with pretty pieces from Amy + Jen Decor, our first area to shoot was in place. Now, to prepare the dresses from The HandMade Bride, wait till you see these gorgeous dresses & the elegant accessories from Sarah Walsh Bridal.

Once Erin & Lex made the models hair & make-up perfectly in place, the girls were ready for their fittings. Each model looked so elegant, I couldn't wait to have them in front of my lens. As soon as Isabelle stood in front of the "treat table", made up of pretty soft pinks, adorable cupcakes & cake pops from Sweeter By The Dozen, beautiful flower arrangements by Aquatopia Events & the decor from Amy + Jen Decor, we were ready for our first session. As cheesy as it sounds, my first look in the lens, I felt like I was having a bit of a "Moment" The feeling you get, when you work with your first real bride. IT'S HAPPENING!!! A check off my, "MAKE IT HAPPEN" list, a dream come true :) My first styled shoot, was happening before my eyes, YES!!!!
